About Our Grandfather Ehekamitl
A lifetime devoted to the sacred Red Road. Grandfather Miguel Ehecamitl was born on October 6, 1964, in Mixquitic, an Indigenous community in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. His spiritual formation began under the guidance of the legendary Grandfather Tlacael, who learned from the Lakota, brought the Sun Dance to Mexico, and founded Teotekpan, a school where many elders of tradition were formed.
At the age of 35, he began his own path, guiding temazcal ceremonies and planting the Sun Dance and the Moon Dance in many regions of the country. He is also the creator of the Ometeotl Dance, in which feminine and masculine energies unite in a single dance. His tireless journey has made him one of the most genuine and humble representatives of the Toltec tradition.
To share time with the Grandfather is to walk the path of the warrior—one who, step by step, has worked tirelessly to protect, restore, and share the spiritual wealth of our peoples.
